The qualifying stage demonstrates the average map for each category; pool remains the same throughout the tournament.
Least successful players in the qualifying phase will be eliminated until the remaining number of players is 64.
Scheduling
Matches must be scheduled in the #scheduling text channel.
Rescheduling is not permitted less than 24 hours before the scheduled match time.
While match times are assigned to every match, players may reschedule to a more suitable time if necessary.
Match Process
The roll winner decides the pick order.
There are no bans on categories.
Players have 120 seconds to choose a map; if the time elapses, the opponent selects the map.
All maps are freemod, with only DT mod required for DT maps and HR mod for HR maps. Other mods are optional.
Each player can choose the same category (e.g., DT1) twice per match, meaning each category can potentially be played four times during a match.
After selecting a category, the referee will write a command into the chat which, with the help of our modified IRC client, will randomly pick a map from the pool.
Winning a round is calculated according to our point system, following the given formula:
For ease of understanding, this formula increases the value of the misses in the accuracy-based system by a factor of 10, and gradually decreases it as the number of misses goes up. You can
download special gosumemory overlay to see your points in real time. Just put the "RDCOverlay" folder to the "static" folder, and that will be it.
Players may re-roll a map twice per match, regardless of whose pick it is. If a re-rolled map is the same as the previous, a free re-roll is granted.
If players score the same in a round, no one gets a point.
In the event of a tiebraker, the player who picked the map second will select the last map.
If something urgent happens player can quit the match while playing and just replay that map. Your opponent can keep his score, or also replay the map with you.
A match is won by the first player to reach a specific score, which is dependent on the tournament stage: 5 points for pre-quarterfinal stages, 6 points for quarterfinals and semifinals, 7 points for finals, and 8 points for grand finals.
Conduct and Disqualifications
Any smoke writing that violates Twitch's Terms of Service will result in disqualification.
A Discord ban will automatically disqualify a player from the tournament, so it is vital to follow Discord rules.
Words forbidden on Twitch and Discord are also prohibited, with potential consequences including warnings or disqualifications.
If the following rules don't take into account something, use common sense and don't abuse it.
Any uncertainties can and should be consulted with the host (Discord - niotid)
